Vince Anderson
Lead Musician
After a long career in IT, Vince Anderson now pursues his musical interests in jazz, baroque and folk ensembles. Vince has played piano his entire life, but also plays guitar and accordion if called for. A lifelong West Edmonton resident, Vince bikes everywhere and encourages everyone to do so. Vince is an enthusiastic member of the local music scene and sits on the boards of the Alberta Baroque Music Society and Royal Canadian College of Organists.
Hazel Burn
Bell Choir Director
As a teenager, Hazel was an active member of the various youth groups at St. Andrew's - CGIT, Hi-C and Young People. Later, she and her husband were married at St. Andrew's. They returned in 2001 and immediately felt the warmth and friendliness of the church. Hazel is a retired music educator. She joined the hand bell choir in 2005 and became its director in 2007. As well as participating in the worship services with the bells, Hazel also plays piano and various other instruments.
Bereket Habtom
Custodian
Bereket was born in Eritrea and came to Canada in July of 2007. He proudly became a Canadian citizen in 2013. Bereket and his wife Suwes are happy that their daughters Luwem and Selhom have so many opportunities in their new home. Bereket enjoys being part of the St. Andrew’s family. “I love this church and I love the people here,” he says. “It’s a great place to work and to worship.”
Anne King
Office Manager, Pastoral Care Coordinator
Anne has enjoyed working within the United Church for over 25 years and has been very happy to be at St. Andrew’s for 18 of them! Our congregation is filled with wonderful people, great ideas, and a willingness to support each other and try new things. In her spare time, Anne loves to be with her friends and family – feeling blessed to be a mom, grandma (of six), sister and aunt.
Geoff Wilfong-Pritchard
Minister
Geoff was ordained in the United Church in 1988 after working in corporate and political communications. He has been in ministry at St. Andrew's since 1993 and has continued to enable the congregation to create new expressions of its ministry since then. Geoff has a deep appreciation for the way the congregation continues to open itself to new possibilities in worship and learning opportunities.
